This beautiful Country Park is set next to a river and is great fun for those kids (like mine) who like to dip their toes in some water. Great for stone skimming or just wondering through in wellies. The park has a few different walking trails depending how far you want to walk, and they are well marked so you won't get lost. There are a few sculptures to see along the way, but the river is the real star. There is a good pathway so it is do-able if you have a buggy, but the paths can get muddy at certain times of the year and there is one trail with a bit of a killer hill. The trails are perfect for those who have a family dog along for the ride too! In addition to the lovely walks there are toilets, a couple of play areas for the kids, plenty of picnic benches or grassy areas if you want to sit and re-coup and a cafe for a post-walk coffee and slab of cake. Parking is free and the parking spaces are vast so even on busy days you can find a space. We come regularly and love it every time!
