A great day out and free of charge of you have a National Trust membership win entrance to the house and gardens, including the walled garden with mini wheelbarrows and watering cans for little ones. They change the ‘theme’ of the house throughout the year and have games and activities in the gardens ( mainly during peak times). There are two lovely cafes, a book shop, gift shop and garden centre type shop. Baby changing facilities although a little chilly in the winter. If you don’t want to pay the admission price, you can still walk around the lake and woods and pop to the cafe or shops.
