Lovely old fashioned steam engines. Any Thomas the Tank Engine fan will absolutely love it!
It has a steam engine Museum on one platform and a bar and restaurant on the other. There is a Engine shed full of old engines that have been restored.
You can walk around the engines but not on them. Great for the kids to get up close and see how huge the old engines were.
We didn't have a picnic but I saw a picnic area, looked like it was near a stream in a little paddock. You can do a return journey between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. There is parking on site, which was free. We went off season and hadn't booked, but was told booking is recommended. We also had a good deal that the children traveled for £1.

Prices: From £17 for adults and £8.50 for children for All Day Rover tickets if bought online. Prices on the day are £20 for adults and £10 for children.
Visitors can also purchase platform only tickets for £3 for adults and £1.50 for children. The platform at Sheffield Park is open all year round except Christmas Day.- Website:
