A great place for toddlers and younger kids- boys and girls. Miniature railway, 2 playgrounds for different ages, maze, cafe. Large lake with footpath. Even better on a sunny day. Reasonably priced with annual membership available and recommended.

One of our favourite places for an afternoon out with the little people is Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway. They love it! There is a big play area for them with plenty to do, with a separate area for under 5’s. A lake with ducks etc (sorry, my wildlife knowledge isn’t great haha). A little maze and several small play areas if you want to take a stroll around the perimeter. The main attraction though of course being the mini train which departs every 10 minutes. After handing your ticket to the station master, it takes you on a trip just under a mile long around the beautiful park. . . There is a railway style cafe serving hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and icecreams. The only seating is outside, in fact everything is outside which is off putting if it’s raining. Lots of picnic tables dotted about. Plenty of room for buggy’s. Parking is free. Open daily 10am-5pm form April till November. The last train is at 4:45pm. . Prices are £5.50 for entrance with one ride or £7.50 for entrance with unlimited train rides (i’d recommend the unlimited ticket). Kids under 3 are free.
