We love Hitchin Swimming Pool it is without a doubt our favourite local pool, a short walk from Hitchin Town Centre - we always find it best to park in the town centre and walk the 5 minutes to the pool as the pool car park can become quite busy (especially on hot sunny days!). With it’s perfectly sized ‘baby pool’ the perfect depth for little ones and accessed by steps which make for great entertainment for them and also helps with getting not so sure little ones to adventure into the water. There is also their large pool and of course their outdoor pool, which on the day of our visit felt like being abroad. The changing rooms are clean, tidy and offer great sized family changing cubicles which help reduce ‘some’ of the swimming changing stress, all equipped with baby change facilities. The canteen serves a typical burgers and chips affair but everything was tasty, warm and the service was excellent. Overall, we would highly recommend Hitchin Pool, it is by far the most family friendly pool in the area and provides the perfect day out come rain or shine!
