We went to gran canaria for first time last year in March to lopesan baobab with our 18 month old I was also 16 weeks pregnant. Firstly flight wasn't to far to get great temperature 25 all week, we did get our son his own seat which was extra £200ish but was worth it! We got a taxi transfer instead of getting Thomson coach 42euros, again this was worth it as we got to check in before coach and at pool by time they arrived. We had never done a package holiday let alone a child friendly hotel so felt a little worried. Room great spacious sofa, patio with chairs, super king bed, bath separate shower, separate toilet, fridge etc you could hire in high chairs, bottle sterilers etc Outside our room was beautiful garden with turtles in ponds our son loved it. We stayed half board and had pizzas at lunch, drinks are paid on top they weren't to badly priced but we did pay cash a lot. Buffet breakfast and dinner was vast! Lots of choice they always had slightly plainer things if needed for children. Facilities are brilliant so many pools never thought like people were on top of you, The lower beach pool probably got the busiest with the children. We walked into the beach area a few times while we are away there are many nice restaurants and shops. The beach is beautiful and my husband took my son to the Sand dunes which again were amazing. I would thoroughly recommend staying at lopesan The only downside is there isn't any intercom in the rooms and I am not sure about babysitter but we just took out our son in the pushchair after dinner at 7 o'clock there was a children's show which our son enjoyed, if you have older children they can go to the children's club during the day
